SKN Fair

In light of the ongoing discussion about research activity during medical studies, SKN Fair: Talk Science to me took place on the 15th of November 2022 at Collegium Biomedicum. This was an initiative of the MUG Student Scientific Society in collaboration with the International Relations Office of MUG.

The event aimed to allow Student Scientific Circles to present their research work and other activities. Additionally, it showed that most of the activities within circles lie far from the so-called big scientific world. By walking between booths, you could have tested your surgical suturing, taken part in a nephrology quiz, practiced your BLS skills, etc.

The additional part of the event was a campfire session with Dr. Magdalena Antoszewska (gf_medstudent) and Dr. Piotr Spychalski (house of EBM) on the topic: “Is it important to be scientifically active at an early age?”. The meeting was held as a discussion panel so students could take an active part in it. Questions about when and how to start your research career were parts of the discussion.

The event attracted students from the Polish and English Divisions from all faculties of MUG. It was a fantastic opportunity for circles’ leaders to promote their work and a big chance for MUG students to experience the abundance of active projects and find their scientific interests.
